When we say native plants, we mean plants actually from here: local genetics adapted to Chicago’s specific conditions including species associated with prairie, savanna, woodland, wetland, and other regional plant communities.
Whether you are starting with three plants or converting an entire yard, our goal is the same: help you choose native plants that will thrive in your space and contribute something meaningful to Chicago’s local ecology.
